I caught up with some old friends in Shenzhen. Some I hadn't seen for maybe 5 years or more. One I had met early last year. We when to a restaurant in Nanshan district. It was pretty late and I think the restaurant was about to close soon. The staff were all sitting around at the tables themselves. But they were willing to receive us, and I think we ordered too much and I ate too much, but it was good to see these friends again. We were in a section where the air conditioning didn't seem to work. One of my friends made a comment to the staff something like, "No aircon, no fan, and no discount!" I won't say which friend it was, but I think it was meant in a friendly way :)
